Late Light Reflected

Uploaded: July 06, 2012

Description

Taken about 30 minutes before actual sunset last week, out shooting at the Lincoln Memorial with Renee, Linda and Gail. I'd walked around
to the back (west) side, and saw the almost-horizontal golden sunlight pouring in from my right, between the massive fluted columns.
Just off frame to the left is the flat, massive expanse of white marble wall; the back wall of the building. So it was acting as a giant
reflector, bouncing that golden light right back at the "backside" of each column. It stopped me in my tracks!
