L is for Lepidoptera
Uploaded: June 09, 2012
This tiger swallowtail butterfly was feeding on just-planted Martha Washington geraniums in a pot on our deck near Durango, Colorado. She was so intent on feeding that I could approach very close with a 60 mm Micro Nikkor lens and make multiple, hand-held exposures. This image was captured at f5.6 and 1/125 sec.
