Goldfinch in Flight

Uploaded: June 06, 2012

Description

6/6 Animals
Finally got a picture of a goldfinch flying that wasn't hideously overexposed or blurry. Set everything manually. Exposure was based on nearby grass in full sunlight (similar results to using 18% grey card). Prefocused manually based on predicted flight path. Used tripod so I didn't have to stand in one position so long. ISO 800, f/5.6, 1/2500 sec with Canon EF 70-200 f/4L lens zoomed to 127 mm.

Exif: F Number: 5.6, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 1/2500 seconds, Flash: did not fire, compulsory flash mode, ISO: 800, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 127.00 mm, Model: Canon EOS 7D
