This is pretty nice, Kristin. I think you could go with a tighter crop. The left third doesn't add significantly to the image (in my opinion). #1467167

tighter crop #10168637

oops, must have hit that button twice! #10168643

The tighter crop helps. This is a fun shot with great clarity in the drops. If you have the pixels I would go a lot tighter still. Say a square crop on the top right corner. #10168646

Nice job capturing the reflections in the water drops Kristin. Agree with Jeff on the crop and it did improve the image.

As an experiment with your new PSE9 toy, try adding some high pass filtering using the overlay blend. A setting of about 1.5 should do nicely. #10168671

I tried the overlay with a high pass filter but I am not sure I see a difference. #10168987

now I got it! Thanks Dale...and it only took and hour! #10169078

Kristin -- beautiful dewdrops. If that is your intended subject I would follow Mike's suggestion. The square crop would cut out the blossoms without compromising any water drops. #10169145

I love the light on this!! Your waterdrops are great. Love that you can see the background trees. I'd be interested in seeing Mike's crop if you have the pixels for it. Also there is a tiny bright spot under the top left waterdrop, I'd clone that out. :) #10169179

This has such a light and dreamy feel to it...great image to see in the morning! I agree with the crop and also would like to see the square one. Love all the bokeh in the background! :~) #10169184

Thanks for trying that Kristin. Next time it will take two minutes. Here is a tip. When you start, duplicate the image and apply an overlay blend. Your image will not look good but not to worry.

Now go to filters/other/overlay. The top layer will turn grey and you can see the changes you are making in real time on the large image. Two minutes tops. #10169191

and again, tighter crop #10169402

I think that came out very well Kristin. I like how the droplets are now the major subject and you can really see the internal reflections. #10170056
