Good photo, I like how the lines of the hair and the hat frame her eye that have a lot of expression.

Sandi,

Great close-up portriat image of a
young adolescent girl who has much
sadness in her life. Your composition
captures her feelings in her face;
and shows only one eye symbolizing
only a half-a-life not a full life
of joy. Her wearing of the multi-
colored hat is her attempt to create some joy in her life. Great capture!

Lou,
Yeah I suppose this picture conjures up emotions and also sets up some sterotypes. This is my niece who is 13 going on 25. She is a character, and she has definitely had some hardships in her life. I was hoping to catch some of that here so I am glad to hear your very honest depiction of my photo. This is probably my VERY favorite pictures I have ever taken. I think the colors and the way she is looking at me with just one eye really sums my feelings up in this one photo, it really speaks to me but was not sure if it would do the same for anyone else. Thank you lou, much appreciated #10214221
