Had to come take a peek at your gallery tonite, before dashing to bed---I'm gonna be so late!! ;) I love this shot! It sort of has a visible 3-D quality to it, particularly in the foreground branches, something like a bit of optical illusion! Very cool, and very good selection, for nice, even branch coverage.
Do a google on "Margaret Huddy" when you have time; she's a watercolor artist here in VA; she does some stunning bare hickories (I think they are hickories) that will knock your socks off---then remember---they are watercolor paintings! This reminds me of what she must study, to produce her paintings. #2329179

Thanks, Christopher!
I received my digital blessing (Canon EOS Digital Rebel) just after Christmas 2004. This was one of my "lets walk around the yard & try this new camera out" images. I like to look out from different perspectives.
I checked out Margaret Huddy & she does great with watercolor! I saw some Sycamore paintings that were amazing--great detail in the branches. I think those were what you were referring to.
Thanks for looking!

Ah, probably sycamore... ;)
Happy shooting! (I keep the Digital Rebel in the back of my mind, as my planned "upgrade path" for next fall... Glad you're enjoying it!) #2329991
