Description

Another shot of my tired hungry son, this time in our driveway. His post basketball practice meeting took so long that it was past dusk, so plan "A" needed to be improvised. Using Cactus radio transmitters, I used my Lumopro 160 flash with a 45" umbrella on a 7' stand up and to my right. I used a Canon 430 flash zoomed to 105mm on a lower stand behind my son pointed at the basketball goal. I adjusted the Canon flash to get a hard shadow of the rim on the backboard. I was laying on the driveway to get he geometry right beteen him and the backboard. This was actually my final "test" shot for lighting, but I ended up really liking the "far-away" look as he stood in place before I did the "posed" shots. Edited in Lightroom and Photoshop Elements. Tha Canon flash on basketball goal was in manual mode, shot at 1/32 -.3 (almost minimum) and zoom at 105mm. The Lumopro flash shot into the umbrella was at 1/16th power and zoom at 24mm.

Exif: F Number: 2, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 1/80 seconds, Flash: did not fire, compulsory flash mode, ISO: 200, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 85.00 mm, Model: Canon EOS 60D
