Description

I enjoy the challenge of trying to find interesting compositions or images in some of the blown glass pieces I have at home, especially in winter
when the cold offers no motivation to photograph outside. This is a light rework of an earlier image; aiming straight down on a very bulbous,
tear-drop-shaped vase, made in the encalmo technique, joining 3 different sections of molten glass (blue, gold cane, red).

Thank you all very much! This is a favorite piece of mine, partly because of the 3 body colors forming new colors when you look through the piece. The gold seen through the blue, makes green at the top, while the red body, seen through the blue neck, creates purple in the center of the image... #10709611
