I'm glad I was able to find this. This is very nicely doe, Kristin. I like the color combinations. The depth-of-focus is very good. Everything seems nicely placed.Have you tried removing your original post from the gallery and then re-adding it to get it into the club gallery? #9965242

Stephen, would you be kind enough to walk me thru the steps of removing my old post in order to repost this one? Thank you #9965608Kristin Duff February 04, 2012
Stephen I did it after some trial and error, mostly error, and got it! #9965628Kristin Duff February 04, 2012
Aimee, I think this is what you were after? #9965630Dale Hardin February 04, 2012
this is beautifully done Kristin. Lovely colors and ideal composition. #9965710Kristin Duff February 04, 2012
Thanks Dale I had a few suggestions from Amy, and even without photo shop it turned out better than I expected. #9965716Kristin Duff February 04, 2012
Sorry Aimee, for the wrong spelling. I have a sister Amy so I was on auto... #9965720Michael Kelly February 04, 2012
Could not find the original when I went to post, but that is OK because this is a very nice improvement. I love the detail and the wonderful focus you achieved here. Of course the color is wonderful too. I think this is good to go as shown in this post. A great shot. What macro are you using? I have the Canon 100mm (the old version) which I love, but whatever glass you have sure did a great job on this shot. #9965724

Sorry, missed your request, Kristin. Glad you figured it out. BP isn't the easiest site to learn how to navigate. It took me awhile to figure out how to remove pictures from the gallery, too. There are still things that I think I must be doing the hard way. #9965759Kristin Duff February 05, 2012
Hi Michael, this photo was not taken with a macro, as it was a windy day in a gravel pit. Somehow these poppies managed to find their way into all those rocks. It was taken with my 18-55mm lens. I do have a macro, the Canon 100mm but I don't use it much as I just don't have the experience. But that is what I love, as a gardener, those close up shots of the amazing world of plants. #9966287Peter W. Marks February 05, 2012
A very unusual flower image Kristin and the composition works well. #9966575Anthony L. Mancuso February 06, 2012
Great shot Kristin, love the color and comp....there's an amazing amount of detail there considering you didn't use a macro lens! #9968065Debbie E. Payne February 06, 2012
Kristin - This is a great floral. Your love of flowers shows through in the image. The composition is right on, creating a good balance within the frame. I can hardly wait for the flowers to return because I really enjoy doing florals and close-up photography. I may have to go to the grocery store and be happy with a vase of cut flowers for a while. Just go out and practice with your 100mm - it is a great lens. Play with it and you will learn it. #9968081Jeff E Jensen February 06, 2012
Yup, your improvements did the trick! Nice work. #9968633Carla Capra Anderson February 06, 2012

the first photo looked much like this but paler. Aimee suggested this move and it worked to intensify the color. #9970754Beth Spencer February 09, 2012
