Light Painting on River Rocks

Uploaded: January 30, 2012 22:02:36

Description

Nikon D3s, 1" at f/5.6, ISO 200. Painting with light. I set these river rocks and candle on my glass coffee table, using a large black reflector as a backdrop. After locking focus, I shut all lights (no ambient light; this was done at night), and used a Maglite briefly during the 1-second exposure. This is 99% SOOC.

Exif: F Number: 5.6, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 1/1 seconds, Flash: did not fire., ISO: 200, White balance: Manual white balance, FocalLength: 34.00 mm, Model: NIKON D3S

Unique, Karen. For some reason I expect Jimmy Durante to be standing on the red spot, turning halfway toward us, tipping his hat and saying, "Goodnight Mrs. Calabash...wherever you are!" #1440351

Ha ha! That's pretty funny! I supposed I should start working on my other set of images, huh! I haven't even had a chance to look at the DV board yet. I'll catch up one of these days. Sigh... #9959362
