Description

A very pleasant surprise for me
while visiting The Alamo, was
this beautiful and tranquil little
canal of water that went through
the gardens complex. Within the waters reflection is the
Emily Morgan Hotel, in which I posted yesterday.
Japanese goldfish swim in the channels that once provided irrigation.
If you visit this historic place,
look for the stone marker inscribed with calligraphy -
a gift from a Japanese professor who drew
parallels between the Alamo's
defense and defeat with a
similar one-sided battle in
Japanese history.....
In the discussion area I have
included an image of the goldfish,
very Big goldfish I might add,
that call the water running through
the Alamo gardens their home....
