Well ooops. This wasnt supposed to be the picture entered into the contest. Oh well. This picture is rather embarassing until I scanned it in to photoshop and edited it. I guess I will just have to try again tomarrow. My full name is Dan Chevalier for the record and copyright.#38456

I figured that it wouldnt hurt to put the correct one on as well... even if I am disqualified. So im ready to be yelled at :}The first picture was 800 speed film handheld Canon Eos Rebel. I do not recall the f stop or shutter speed since I was so taken aback by the scenery. I really didnt want the grain of the 800 speed film for this but I did not have a tri pod at that time. The first picture I actually had to crop because the negative was ruined by the place I had develop it.
I recently scanned it in to fix the greyish fog in photoshop. I adjusted the contrast and darkened it a little. Added a layer and set it at 100% opacity, soft light and edited some of the edges around the trees and in the sky with a circle shaped airbrush set to a blue grey hue at 52% pressure. I used the smudge tool at the same pressure to smooth out the edges.

Very pretty and unusual shot! #109938Dan C May 26, 2019
Thank you for the praise! It realy is/was the Aurora Borealis. I wish I could explain the whole "picutre". The night sky was pulsating with circular green white stripes all rippling toward the center of the sky. That was the part of the picture I could not capture. The picture you see was only the northernn portion of the show. If you where to turn around and look up you would see fantastic concentrated pulsating rings of firery white glow all shrinkin as if headed out to space.Ok... I think I have said enough... thank you!
