Description

A scene very common to dedicated rock fishermen and a spectacular view for non-piscatorial people too.

Fuji S9600: RAW, f/8 @ 1/320sec, 39mm, ISO 80.
Lightroom 2.2 & Photoshop CS3.

Exif: F Number: 8, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 1/320 seconds, Flash: did not fire, compulsory flash mode, ISO: 80, White balance: Manual white balance, FocalLength: 39.40 mm, Model: FinePix S9600

The Making of 'Rock Fishermen #2':

The thirteenth in a series of nineteen waterscape photographs chosen by the developers of Coast Apartments in my home town of Port Macquarie, NSW, Australia. The large black and white prints grace the walls of the foyers, gymnasium and lift on permanent display in the luxury complex.

The series gives the viewer a journey from the Hastings River, that runs through the town and down the coast to The Gap at Diamond Head Beach in the Crowdy Bay National Park.

Enjoy!

Maximum drama in this brilliant capture. Contrasty black and white is perfect, as is the framing. A Gem! #9826319

Very nice capture - love the large splash against the rocks. Both the splash and the fisherman make for a perfect composition. #9826726

I really like this one, Dennis! The splash of the wave and the fisherman each take their turn at center stage, and amazingly without overpowering the other. Not sure how you managed to have a photo with TWO main subjects. #9828987
