Quick thinking and quick moving to capture this one, Bunny. #9821235Susan K. Snow November 20, 2011
Thank you, Marcie.I was so surprised that I actually captured it in flight. Goldfinches are hard to capture in flight and I had no room to pan, as it was captured out of my bathroom window. (LOL!) #9821239

Just love this capture Bunny with the bird in flight and the droplets of water! #9821603Bob Cournoyer November 20, 2011
Sharp and well dropletted (is that a word?).. :-)Happy Theme Day #9821929

Dropletted is not in the dictionary. You coined it, Bob. Thanks for the comments.I did this image over, although both are up. I added AlienSkin Bokeh around the bird to reduce the busy background, but kept the foreground because of all the droplets in the spray. See what you think of the entry which was changed for the PG101 Theme Day, Up In the Air.
Thank you for your comments, Amanda. I have a series of images with the bird getting a face full of water droplets --a real washing, and then flying off with a droplet in its beak. If I can figure out how to put them together, perhaps after Thanksgiving, I'll make the attempt. It depends upon the positioning. I'm not as talented as most members of PG 101. #9822057

Actually, I didn't move at all, Mitch. I simple focused on where the bird was showering on the brass nozzle of the hose, set my camera to AI Servo, multiple exposure and fired 4-5 shots. Some of the images, were of either a goldfinch or wren showering, and one was when the goldfinch took off with a water droplet. I didn't know what I captured until looking through my archives today and being pleasantly surprised. It really helps me (because my balance and ability to walk is poor) to use a tripod, so that images can be as sharp as my eyes can see.Thank you for your comments. #9822145
