Description

---
Accidentally (a long story) I discovered a gem of a spot in Newtown--right next "door" to our town. Bucks County Community College is situated on a 200-acre parcel on the cliffs and wilderness overlooking Neshaminy Creek (really a river).
----
An extraordinary "castle" overlooking the river became the school's first classroom building and it features (the hidden) Tyler Formal Gardens, which reflect early 20th Century horticulture, influenced by French and Italian Gardens.
-----
The Gardens are divided into levels and compartments, separated by stone walls and shrubs, and feature an espalier, sodded lawns, water fountains, gravel pathways and bronze sculpture. The castle, gardens, and wilderness are not visible from the road.
