Description

No takers, huh? Maybe a BBQ?! Well, it may not be fun in the sun but we still enjoyed our August winter holiday to the ski fields just a few weeks ago! This scene was captured in Cabramurra which, at 1,488 metres (or 4,880 feet), is Australia's highest permanently inhabited town! Enjoy summer while you have it!

I know how they feel. We have had two snowfalls in the last month (very rare for Christchurch) and now they are predicting another one at the end of the week. If my daughter was at this place right now she would be out there playing tennis in the snow. It's such a novelty for us. She was bouncing on the trampoline outside when we had our snowfalls. A lovely winter scene you have captured here Phil. #9639565

Love the composition and the snow, here in north Alabama we don't get much snow even in the dead of winter..beautiful find... (is it winter down there now?)

Nice angle in the foreground to frame the image. Interesting lines and shapes throughout the image and the misty cloud cover adds the mood. Not exactly what I had in mind for a BBQ or tennis. #9676472
