Description

A crane purposefully surveying the pond; I shot with Don Johnson (longtime zoo regular & shooter) & he told me this crane isn't actually a zoo resident,
but flies in periodically. So I guess this counts as a "shot in the wild" ;)

Exif: F Number: 5.6, Exposure Bias Value: -0.67, ExposureTime: 1/800 seconds, Flash: did not fire, compulsory flash mode, ISO: 400, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 300.00 mm, Model: Canon EOS 7D

It's a Juvenile Black-Crowned Night Heron they are normally on the skittish side but this one must have found a food source that it likes...
