Gold King Mine

Description

Since I have entered several photos of the Gold King Mine and Ghost Town, I thought you might enjoy seeing the gentleman who now owns the site and takes care of it all. In 1890 this was Haynes, Arizona, which was a suburb of Jerome and support for the mine workers. A 1200 ft. deep shaft was dug looking for copper, but they hit gold instead!
