Description

This beautifully carved marble figure represents the river Ganges and forms part of Bernini's spectacular 'Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi' (AKA Four Rivers Fountain). The lighting on this particular day was just perfect, giving the statues a strangely lifelike quality.
