This is really nice, Bunny! Love the wing details and the light on the bird is very pretty. :-) #9507165Jane Holestine July 05, 2011
Nice capture. #9507621Bunny Snow July 05, 2011
Thank you, Michelle, for your lovely comment. The amazing thing is that the image was actually sharp...at least most of it. The catch-light in the eye was wire sharp. These little birds move so fast that I had to focus on the feeder, set the camera to manual focus and shoot when the anticipated landing would take place. My anticipation is getting better. #9507980

I love the almost silvery tones of the bird and a slight motion blur in the wings is always desirable to me -- shimmery. #9507988Bunny Snow July 05, 2011
This bird was perfect for the black and white theme, in my opinion. After all, it is mostly black and white, and even before I realized that the theme was for black and white, I made the bird as such.I also love the silvery like tones and the shimmering effect of the wings, Nikki. It is just so hard to capture these fast moving little birds. This time it was a hit, but generally it's a miss. #9508057
