I was trying to get this shot. I worked on it for at least half an hour, between Conway's dives into the water. Actually, Jim Miotke, BP's head, talked about getting a shot like this years ago, when he was my one year instructor, and this was the first time that I got it. The settings were ISO 400 f/5.6 1/800 sec with an 80-400 lens at 400mm. Thanks for asking! Conway is a good dog, but as wild as he looks with this shot! #9462490

sounds like my late dog, he litterally jumped out of the motorhome window during a stoplight when he saw a lake in the summer years ago! ran clear across the beach before we even knew what happened. #9462627

I love this! You totally filled the photo with his personality. Is he a golden retriever? He looks at least part, and to love the water then roll in the dirt is one of their "practical jokes". I have 2 and they are a handful.
I just saw this as I was looking at some of the older POTDS. Great job! #9620400

Yes, Conway is a golden, as far as we can tell. He's a two year old rescue dog from the Golden Retriever Rescue Group here in NC. He's crazy...and the most loving dog we've ever had...and we have always had goldens. Thanks for the kind words. #9620457
