This photo was taken 9:34AM 5 JUN 2011 at the Dragonboat Races in Onna Son Okinawa, Japan. Captured using a Pentax K5, Cable Release, Tripod and an 18-250 Pentax lens at focal length of 35mm. f/11 1/320 ISO 100

Called Harii, in local dialect, Dragonboat races originated in China and are held annually in most fishing villages in Okinawa to insure the gods of the sea are pleased and will reward the villagers with a profitable catch and safety for the fishermen and boats in the coming year.
