First let me say thank you too all that commented on my photos, what an honor. To try to answer questions concerning this photo:
Equipment used:
Camera Canon 10D
Lenses:
Canon 100 - 400 mm L IS Newest lens and just wonderful Canon 300mm 2.8L (this is an old FD lens and requires an adapter to use) Canon 500mm 5.6L (this is an old FD lens and requires an adapter to use) Canon 29-90mm 4-5.6

Tripod
Manfrotto 3221GN3

For "The Visitor" I was at the Dallas Zoo, which I photograph at a lot. I saw this little guy on the tree, he stopped and so did I and we both just look at each other. I quickly raised my camera and took the photo making sure to get his eye in focus. I was using the 100-400mmL as I had just gotten it and wanted to try it out. I have said I never bought into the better glass makes a better photo, but I do now. The 300mmL 2.8 used to be my Dad's and he gifted it to me and it's the sharpest lens I have ever used. Next up is the 100-400mm L with image stabilization, that's a huge help in getting a photo sharp and crisp.
