I'm so pleased to hear of your handy work and it all seems to be going well. Fantastic work on you and your son's part. Now, he's repaying you by letting you get these fantastic shots of him. #9428814

A strange looking little bird but we all know how gorgeous he will be when he comes into his full feathering! Excellent baby portrait Steven and excellent details! #9428841

This immature Red Tailed Hawk fell from a nest prematurely. My sons and I made an artifical nest out of a sawed-off milk crate, lashed it to a branch in a flowering crab tree near the nest tree (the nest he fell from is in an oak about 50 feet off the ground), and lined the crate with cedar boughs. It took two days, but the adults have now begun bringing food to BOTH nests (one babe in each). A successful intervention. This one is showing his thanks here by sitting for me for a nice full-frame portrait in his milk crate.
