New York City

Description

Taken July 5, 2002. I never made it to "Ground Zero" on this day trip, because I spent too much time trying to get to the top of the Umpire State Building to take pictures from the top. I got a lot of them too! I cannot believe how massive that city is. That was my first and only time in NYC, even though I lived in Springfield, MA and also in Northern Virginia, but every time I made the trip back to MA, I took the long way around (I-81 to Scranton, then I-84 to Hartford and then I-91 to Springfield) to avoid the city. I was afraid of it, but now that I have been there, I can't wait to go back and visit all the other places. I only got to visit this one place on this day (the Umpire State building) and spent 5 hours, mostly waiting in line to get up the elevators. I guess it was the most popular ovserving place since 9/11.
