Simply beautiful my friend. All we have in the yard now is the first signs of them popping through the ground. Hopefully someday we will have spring. #1359682

It'll be a while before they start blooming in gardens here, I'm afraid! Beautiful, colorful bunch and a delight to see! #9283748

I love it when you get the most out of a subject. I have learned that lately that why should we settle for one picture when we can use different angles and different presentation and get multiple pictures from the same shoot. You have done that brilliantly and at the same time have come up with some winning looks of beauty with these tulips. Spring time feeling, beautiful colors, each presentation so gorgeous in its own way. Outstanding work my friend. #9285106

Thank you everyone. The tulips are finally gone but my buddy Dave called and said he just got some yellow ones for his birthday AND a new macro lens. (What's this world coming to when our wives are buying US flowers?)

The Eleven is a title I stole from the Grateful Dead --a song written in 11/4. It's a stretch but it's my way of acknowledging the human preference for odd numbers combined with the fact that there are 6 tulips. Most of the photos should show attempts at making it appear as thoughb there are 5. Coincidentally all but one of the tulips has 6 petals and 6 (what are they callled?) anthers. Well you had to ask Ellen.

frank I'm currently trying to narrow the photos down to 50 for a gallery on my website if you'd like to see more. Thanks so much. #9285345

The contrast of the white whites and the brilliant reds is super, Marty. Love that background too, with the swoosh of gold and base of blue. #9289072
