The hand is of a little Downs Syndrome girl holding up a leaf to feed the giraffe. The background is a building which helped keep the proper focus. I was not as close as I needed to be so the crop is only a small section of the original shot.

What I meant about *next month* was your wonderful image being selected as an August Finalist photo and potential category winner. However, as far as I know you can resubmit the image in another category anytime.. For clarification though check out the BP contest policy. Again, great capture! #1774048
