Description

Did I ever have stinging fingers after my photo shoot this morn. Mamma Mia!

Any tips on what to wear for gloves? I end up taking mine off to change camera settings and that's when I get into trouble with my hands freezing. It only takes a second for hands to go beet red and numb in these temps.

Exif: F Number: 4.5, Exposure Bias Value: 0.67, ExposureTime: 1/500 seconds, Flash: did not fire, compulsory flash mode, ISO: 800, White balance: Manual white balance, FocalLength: 21.00 mm, Model: Canon EOS DIGITAL REBEL XTi

Whoa -- I can almost feel the cold just looking at this one! Really beautiful! I've got a pair of those gloves that the fingertip parts pop off and on of like little caps, but they're kind of awkward and in any event I've never tested them in that kind of cold. That's the best suggestion I can offer, and it's not very good. #1348726

I would also be concerned about frosted lungs at that temp. I use mittens that fold out so I can use fingers and then fold them back over the fingers. It certainly is a winter scene and captured perfectly #9202985

Aw, thanks everyone!

The flip mittens would still freeze my fingers because I snap more than one photo. I need something I can keep on while using the camera and hope there is a product out there that works. Thanks for the suggestions. :D

Whoa! Nancy! 3*f is -NOT- WARM! HA! Well TODAY I've got ya beat. It was -9*f earlier here...but NOW it has heated up to a BAMLY -2*f. Oh dear! WHY WHY WHY did I EVER leave CALIFORNIA!!!???

Oh, RIGHT. I remember. Because it's so VERY beautiful outside here, just like this amazing image.

Today in the car I was brainless enough to open the window (Pax side) and take a photo with my flat camera. I bet it was -100* with the wind chill at 60MPH!) HOPE IT TURNED OUT GOOD! Haven't checked yet. Fingers are still thawing out! :D

Great job here, dear one!

Thank you, dear Laura. :D I bet your photo turned out!

Last night we had the winds from that major snowstorm. Something was clunking back and forth on the roof. What a long night.
