This is just an all-around wonderful photo, Monika. Composition, light, detail and the little girls expression.
This is just my thought, but I like the implications of the contrast between the girl, (her fragileness) and the columns (there strength). Like you have between a child and parent.

Thanks for the wonderful comments, everyone! I took this photo yesterday, while Kate and I were visiting the University of Washington in Seattle. It was the second time when we went there together, but for us it’s never enough ;-). I have some plans for the future, I’m thinking about taking some Infrared photos, but I need less people than there usually is on week days. Just busy days for all students (I hope they have breaks on weekends days? ;-)

Making the finals is always very pleasing for me, but making them with some portraits of my kids is much bigger and more important for me. Photographing people had, has and will be the biggest meaning for me. I wish I could improve my work and make my photos more interesting for viewers.
