I like to watch the pelicans as they fly above a lake searching for food in the water.
This was a drive by.
So there is no misunderstanding, a "drive by " to me is seeing and photographing the subject from my STOPPED car !

First Wonderful capture they do soar gracefully ..

I told someone they took a GREAT DICK W. Shot a few weeks back and was questioned about it.
So I explained how you shoot so often & so well from your car. At times I know its the ONLY WAY TO GET A SHOT.
We should have a Mtly Dick W. contest for anyone interested !?!?!?!
