Pollen Poachers

Description

f/8; 1/2500; 800 ISO; 250 mm focal length on a Canon IS USM lens and LOTS of patience! I took a series of photos this day in an attempt to catch these bees collecting their nector from these sunflowers. There is some 'graininess' but I think it's acceptable. This was taken at 9:37 am on Aug 11th 2005.

I like this alot, Stephen!!! Don't mind the noise or grain at all. In fact with the great perspective you got, it looks a little like their flying into a crater. This is a very unique shot! #294729

Thanks Duane for the positive feedback on this one. This was an experiment in patience without a doubt. I am looking forward to spending more time amongst the bees this week. Again, thanks and happy shooting! #1721113
