Wow. Just wow... I just finished watching Ken Burns' National Parks, and long to see this myself. Beautifully captured... makes you sad to think what Hetch Hetchy Valley offered us, now flooded. #1347958

Thanks for taking notice of my image. This place is magical. I hadn't been there since my youth, and have started going back--and will continue to do so.

I have had the same thoughts. I haven't researched it further, but some other Yosemite folk have said there are ways to maintain a proper reservoir for San Francisco's use while draining the Hetch Hetchy valley. I don't know if it is true.

I have been told that it had more spectacular waterfalls, but couldn't trump Yosemite for overall beauty.
