The Tall Falls
Uploaded: November 11, 2010
Ricketts Glen State Park, PA
The highest of the 30+ falls in Ricketts is Ganoga Falls at 90ish feet. Here is about 80 feet of it.
We just returned from our pilgimage to Zion and there are a lot of YOUR photos I want to catch up on before any more posts here. So if you don't see any activity here for awhile, it's because I'm enjoying your galleries. It's amazing how much I feel each of you with me every time I release the shutter.

Hey, don't wait on my account, Marty -- I'm eager to see what you brought back from Zion! This is a beautiful waterfall, too! (And welcome back)!! #9028371Julianne Bradford November 11, 2010
This is such a soft flowing shot Marty. I just love it! I missed meeting and shooting with you in Zion :-( I really have to go there sometime. I've been looking at BP'er Debra Harder's wonderful work of Zion recently and there is so much fall color! I can't wait to see your captures! #9028386Jack Ryan November 11, 2010
Hope all went well in your travels. Can't wait to see Zion through your camera lens...welcome home. (Beautiful waterfall image, by the way!!!) #9028429Ron McEwan November 11, 2010
Isn't interesting Marty, you do find yourself thinking I wonder if my friends will like it, not that I like, it is if they will like it. All part of the joy. I will be waiting to see what you brought back from Zion, if it is anything like this one we are in for a real treat. #9028667Marty Straub November 11, 2010
Thank you, Jeff, Monnie, Julianne & Jack. I am almost as excited about my current trip through your galleries as I was about our trip to Utah --and it might take as long. Today was so busy back at work that I could only catch up on 2 of all those I missed, and now Julianne has added Debra Harder's to the must-see list. I touched on it today for a bit, and, WOW it IS a must-see. Can't wait to go back.Thank you, too, Ron. Yours was one gallery I did get to visit today, and likely another reason I ran out of time. I like how you think of me, my friend, but I'm not so altruistic. I KNOW I'll like it, and would understand and appreciate it if someone else didn't. What I mean is more like so-n-so did it this way, or so-n-so did that, or so-n-so said such-n-such, or there is something that I was able to learn just by the way y'all do what you do. In this way, we ALL carry each other on the quest for our own better photo. #9028715

Welcome back,Marty and I can not wait to see what you brought back from your favorite place in the planet...Val Feldman November 12, 2010
Welcome back from your "pilgrimage to Zion" - a perfect choice of words. I KNOW...so many times places and the subsequent captures of them remind me of BP friends - I almost feel them next to me as I push the shutter release...I may be alone on a shoot...but not really. Excellent capture, Marty - a magnificent flow of tumbling, roaring water with a beautiful backdrop of autumn color. So looking forward to the inspiration of Zion thru your eyes! #9030180Ellen Hodges November 12, 2010

We do have aunique and unforgetable family here don't we?Marty Straub November 16, 2010
Thanks, everyone. It's such a treat to carry all of you to each location, and there is no added weight to my backpack. Again, I may not be as selfless as apparently indicated. I visit your sites, not out of commitment to catch up on my commenting ~to show gratitude for YOUR commments, but for my own enjoyment and learning. Thanks so much for being there and then coming with me. #9041309Mitch Spence November 16, 2010
And we thank you for taking us along in your backpack, Marty. And for stopping by our "houses" too. Love the long line of the falls here, inviting us to climb along its edge, up the hill, and into the woods. #9041644JO ANN CLEVELAND November 24, 2010
