My great grandmother, Georgia, once told me she was named after Georgia O'Keefe. She was right: They were both born in 1887 and my great grandmother was named two months after O'Keefe. My point of view on these falls reminded me of them both.

Sure is beautiful, as are O'Keefe's paintings! Sounds as if your great grandmother had a sense of humor -- suspect it's filtered down to you! ;-D #9003476Tammy M. Anderson October 29, 2010

I am off tomorrow to find falls like these (hopefully). Great fall capture. #9003952frank w. degenhardt October 30, 2010
Marty- That was such a lovely story. It is amazing how things that we see remind us of a time and the people who touched our lives. You accomanied the story with this gorgeous scene with the rushing water as it makes that unforgetable sound that eases the soul. I love all the little pepples you captured and the compositon. The lighting is so perfect for the picture. One of my favorite subjects I love to see pictures of.Kitty R. Rodehorst-Hanna October 30, 2010

Fabulous masterful technique on this great capture Marty. I love your pov and everything about it! #9008757Val Feldman November 02, 2010
Love your beautifully captured water veiling slicing thru a perfect NE autumn scene, as well as, the leaf covered outcropping meeting it. Both Georgias, somewhere, are smiling at your remembrance and tribute, I'm sure. As always, your captures, particularly this time of the year, make me homesick for the sights and wonderful autumn smells of the NE. So good to see - thanks, my friend! #9010314JO ANN CLEVELAND November 04, 2010
