Kathe - This is really pretty. Love the whites and the yellows with the brown tones. Speaking for myself, I love to do this to water. Let's see what Peter says! I wouldn't change a thing? Is there a slight painterly effect that has been applied here? Gorgeous. #1320978Michael Kelly October 25, 2010
You have captured a real ethereal quality to this scene. The treatment you used here works very well. I agree with Debbie no changes needed here. Great exposure and I also think the water works well. #8995301Jeff E Jensen October 25, 2010
Add my vote to the like column. I like the treatment you have applied. #8995359Kathleen Nealon October 25, 2010
Thank you. There is a filter effect (Deep Forest) in the onOne Photo Tools set that I used. I'm falling in love with it for my autumn shots.Peter, we are all waiting to hear from you. Are you out there????? #8995394

Very nice, Kathe. You have framed it well. I like the treatment as well. I have yet to take that next step and get just beyond the photograph. I'll keep onOne Photo Tools in mind. #8996049Susan M. Reynolds October 26, 2010
Beautiful photo, Kathe! I'm waiting to hear from Peter too....know he doesn't care for the slow mostion of the water usually!Ellen H. Robertson October 26, 2010
I do like the soft silky water and it does not over power the beautiful yellows.Aimee C. Eisaman October 26, 2010
The bright yellows are just great.....I bet this is the best time of year to capture this! I too like the soft water effect in some images and think it works very well here. I think the painterly effect Debbie sees might be the movement of the leaves??? Also do you see the sledge hammer hidden in this photo? I saw it as soon as I opened it! :~) #8998227Jeff E Jensen October 26, 2010
Geeze Aimee, why did you have to go and mention that. . . . #8998229Aimee C. Eisaman October 26, 2010
So I'm not seeing things because it's after midnight??? LOL #8998258Joan E. Hoffman October 27, 2010
Beautiful Autumn shot! Love the water... even if Peter doesn't.. but think it would look equally wonderful with water motion!LOL... have to brag... had fall in northern Alberta... left... (and its snowing there now) finally arrived today in South Padre... and for the last 3 days of travel has been 86 to 99F So will send y'all some summer shots soon! #8999650

this is a great fall capture Kathe I really like the colors, and softness of the water. yes amiee I saw that myself right away. I wouldn't change anything....very nice #9000613Kathleen Nealon October 28, 2010
Should I do something to eradicate the perception of the sledgehammer. I am assuming that it is the tree trunk that is closer to the inside, in the (viewing) UR corner. #9001464Teresa H. Hunt October 29, 2010
Kathe this is beautiful. When I opened it, my first response was "Oh"! :)The yellow, white and brown all blend together very well. I love this shot! #9003883

I don't know I think it's a really neat hidden image that was natural. I don't think I'd remove it from this photo! How often do you get shots like that? :~) #9004309Susan M. Reynolds October 30, 2010
I've come back to see this quite a few times since it was posted....just wanted to say again how beautiful it is and a perfect capture for fall ~ #9005382Peter W. Marks November 01, 2010
Oh my gosh! I am so far behind with looking at and critiquing all your images. Last night was our town's Halloween parade and a group of us have spent many hours building our Church/school float. We took Proverbs 22:6 as our theme. "Train a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not stray from it." The float was a the size of a big semi and we built a locomotive, four cars and a caboose on the flat bed. We won 'Best in Parade and 1st prize for large organisation.Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
