Clothespins

Uploaded: August 06, 2005

Description

Zichron Moshe, Jerusalem, Israel
I took this image while on workshop in some of Jerusalem old and beautiful neighborhoods. It was early fall and it recently stopped raining. I noticed that rope with clothespins and was attracted by the way the pins were organized on the rope like soldiers. The tense knot of the rope added to that atmosphere and I liked the flawed last pin that emphasizes the overall order. I also liked the blend of textures – the stone wall, iron nail, rope, and plastic pins combine together.
