Pelicans Taking Flight

Uploaded: August 03, 2005

Description

We (my friend and I) slowly approached these large birds (the little white ones behind are Sea Gulls). As we got stuck in the mud and silt, they finally took off. I raised my Canon 200mm lens (which looks and sounds like a Cannon when in burst shooting mode) and shot about 100 photos of these. This and a few others are the best that turned out. Too bad the lighting was not so great. Some Photoshop work was done afterward.

You certainly worked hard enough to get this shot and it did pay off well. I just love this one. #1675701
