F20@1/20th sec. Finally, the placement of the 3 stop graduated reduced density filter worked as desired. Tripod as always, is necessary.
In photoshop, 3 images blended together. Darkened to lighten as learned from Doug Steakley. This enhanced the image.
Brenda Tharp taught us how to use the GRD filter in Creating Visual Impacts.

Thanks, Mitch. I loved this sky, but also loved the lighting on the barn, and the overall composition. Hope I do better this time. #8927663

WOW...stunning image, Bunny! Love this!! The lighting is truly superb!! Deb #8933727Bunny Snow September 28, 2010 0
Thank you Terry and Debra for your very kind and generous comments. It was a beautiful evening after the storm, and it helped that I had my 18% gray card and that my 3 GRD filter was perfectly placed across my lens. In Photoshop, it took only a short time to work Doug Steakley's technique, which added better detail to the barn. Capturing images right in the first place, lessens DD work later.I went from capturing this, to doing rehab pool exercises to strengthen my leg and hip, then spent minimal time on the computer after dinner. #8933762
