My knowledge of flowers is somewhat limited, but I spotted this delicate beauty beside the driveway.

Hi Ruth,Sure wish I could find a beautiful flower like that.Everything is so dry down here.Beautiful capture my friend!!!! #1305764Laura E. Swan September 07, 2010
Ruth this beauty is called "Cosmos". They are grown in many different colors and to the untrained eye they look a bit like a daisy. :) Over the years I have had many different kinds of favorite flowers but I think this is mine. They aren't fragrant but they are hearty and cheerful and they endure. I admire that!I also admire your ability to capture them! Bravo!

WOW WEE Ruth, this is exceptional. They are beautiful, like Laura said they come in many shades of colors usually pastel. If there is a large group of them they will turn your head. This one glows like neon WTG #8886577Tammy M. Anderson September 07, 2010
Gorgeous light, dof and details, Ruth. Beautifully captured. #8886599John Connolly September 07, 2010
A beautifully detailed capture of this wonderful flower, Ruth! I used to grow Cosmos in my garden, and as they are self seeding they took over the entire plot! #8887271Patrick Rouzes September 07, 2010

Very beautiful cosmos capture Ruth!! I'm in agreement with Laura. Cosmos are my all time favorite annual wild flower. Besides the beautiful daisey like blooms, I think the fern like dainty foliage is a nice addition to any garden as well. Plus they are cheap to grow since they grow best just by broadcasting the seeds and then walking over the area you planted them in Spring. You've certainly captured this one very beautifully! #8891728Laura E. Swan September 09, 2010
