Amazing colors in this well-composed mountain scene, Tommy! I guess that topaz adjust gives you some marvelous opportunities for "tweaking" a good photo into a great image!
Enjoy your weekend, too! #8876551

Thanks everyone so much for your wonderful comments, I appreciate them all very much. It really was beautiful, but that was not my best trip out West. I wound up getting in a crash an hour from home the day I left intially which totalled my car. So the next day I bought the "best used car" from a local car dealer. Got temp tags and drove straight from Missouri to Rifle Gap Falls State Park CO which I made it to by about sunrise. Took some waterfall pics and was going to hit the road for Utah. My waterpump in the "Best used car on the lot" went out, I had to be towed something like 80 miles to Glenwood Springs were I spent 8 full days waiting for my car to be repaired. 6 of those day's I spent in an overpriced motel sick. By the time it was all said and done, the repairs cost me over twice as much as it would have here in MO, I had to rush back home without stopping to get back for a test at school, and had maybe 60 cents left over after getting an egg McMuffin value meal at home. This scene was without a doubt the highlight of that entire trip. I'll know next time to read the signs that maybe a trip's supposed to wait though lol. Happy shooting everyone. :) Tommy #8878729

Lorna Shutter September 03, 2010

Yeah, Wow!!! You sure did go through a lot just to get this picture! Hope the Egg McMuffin was good at least, that you passed that test, and that you are not driving the same car! ... or maybe it's better now that you got the repairs done to it! Well, have a great day, Tommy! :) #8879237

Thanks for the kind comments and empathy everyone lol. This month marks year 3 since the intial accident so at least my insurance went down quit a bit. The car I'm sad to say bit blew a motor a few months after I got home. While it seemed like a terrible thing at the time, it's just one of those things that gets more funny as time passes. I am serious about not being so bullheaded. I should have postponed the trip instead of rushing out to buy a another car, because come hell or high water I had to get my photo trip in. I really hope you three have a wonderful extended weekend and happy shooting.
