Blooming Dogwood Buds
Uploaded: April 24, 2003
Not as pretty this year as the petals seem damaged due to a harsh winter and cold Spring temperatures!

These look like very young blooms so maybe there's still hope? Nicely done, Lorraine. The dogwood is one of my favorites but seems difficult to get a good shot. You've done well here. #32105Judy M. Sayers May 26, 2019

Thank you very much Gary! Always appreciate your kind words..... #87831Dale Douthit May 26, 2019
I think this is beautiful. I have never seen this color in a dogwood blossom. Mine are pink, and we have some white dogwoods in the area also. I photograph mine every year around Mothers Day when they bloom around here in Rhode Island. I think you did a great job. #87888Lorraine T. Lynch May 26, 2019
Thank you Dale so much for your kind comments! These are very early blossoms and then they will turn white...I tried to capture them as soon as they start opening and before they turn color...Thanks again! #88238
