Blooming Dogwood Buds

Uploaded: April 24, 2003

Description

Not as pretty this year as the petals seem damaged due to a harsh winter and cold Spring temperatures!

These look like very young blooms so maybe there's still hope? Nicely done, Lorraine. The dogwood is one of my favorites but seems difficult to get a good shot. You've done well here. #32105

Thank you very much Murry, Judy, Cathy and Shirley!

Yes Murry, they are very young blooms...it seems as tho everything was effected this year....even my tulips and daffodils....

I love Dogwoods, but they make me sneeze :( I just like the yellow and green tones in the new buds....

Thanks everybody! #87360

I think this is beautiful. I have never seen this color in a dogwood blossom. Mine are pink, and we have some white dogwoods in the area also. I photograph mine every year around Mothers Day when they bloom around here in Rhode Island. I think you did a great job. #87888

Thank you Dale so much for your kind comments! These are very early blossoms and then they will turn white...I tried to capture them as soon as they start opening and before they turn color...

Thanks again! #88238
