Description

Taken in Forest Park in St. Louis. Taken with Canon Rebel that was modified for IR photography. I didn't even need a filter with this, and did it handheld!

You have to love IR-converted digital cameras. They open up a whole new world of photography, which you've captured nicely here, Jennifer. #8853310

Just beautiful. With the converted IR camera's, does it come out of the camera looking like this? Thanks, Linda #8862559

Thank you for all the nice feedback. Linda, the images come out of the camera with hues of cyan and reds/oranges. Then, in a program like Photoshop, you swtich the blue and red channels to get these colors. Infrared mostly effects the greens in images. When you mess with channels in Photoshop, you can create some magical looking infrared images! You can do infrared with regular cameras too by using an infrared filter on the lens and using a long exposure time. I had to do about 30 seconds. Give it a try, but be warned.... It is addictive!!! #8862611
