Thanks, Christy. The group - collectively and individually - knows how to pose for photos. If you glance at my gallery, you'll see what I mean, as I've posted several shots of them. As for where we were, even though they pose as a Federal band (ever versatile, they can also switch sides!) the Stonewall Jackson monument is such an icon that it was an irresistable idea! #1638281

Cool shot! If I found this photo in a museum store I would by the picture as a real antique thing. #1639777

Oh Rob, I'll just bet. I used to live in Va. Bch. and I miss it. Now living in north TX. Texas has interesting history, but nothing like up and down the east coast. Being a military brat, I was raised in North Carolina, Cherry Point. We spent every weekend out on the outer banks. Talk about history man!!! Then living in Virginia as an adult, even more. Like Anatoly, I would buy this one in a hart beat. You may like the one in my gallery riding out of the alamo. It was taken at the John Wayne movie set. Got lucky, they were shooting a discovery channel doc. and I looked up and here they came. #1639841

Anatoly and Christy,

Anatoly and Christy, Ttanks! That's quite the compliment, and of course part of the reason that we all post our pix. I tend to look at shots that I enjoy and say to myself "I wish that I'd shot that!"
As you can tell, I've gotten into a rhythm on the re-enactor thing. It helps that I've worked/played with this band, too - the pictures from the Liberty ship, I was working with them posing as a WWII Glenn Miller type of GI band. It gives you some insight as to what goes on when you take the shots. #1641643
