Thank you, MIchael, Teresa, Kim, Anne and Usman. This was a wonderful place to take pictures from - a site not far from Breckenridge, CO where there were ruins of three separate miner's cabins. I hope I see it again soon - both in BP and in person. Can hardly wait to go up to this area again in a few weeks when the aspens will be all golden. Fall is IT for me! #8836996

Wow! Thanks everyone. I knew that there had to be something going on when I opened my email and saw 29 messages. For some reason, although I've subscribed to "The Photo of the Day", I rarely get it. So I haven't even seen it yet online.
I have always thought that a POTD is worth more than a placed winner or Finalist and to think that I have both in this one image blows me away. Comments from my peers means more than a tag from unnamed judges any day!
It's good to see messages from my Phellos. We all critiqued this one to pieces. But the whole critiquing process is well worth the effort. And to all the new faces I see here. Thank you for taking the time to stop and give comments. I will be "gallery-visiting" soon!! #8851481

Thank you, Dianna. This was a wonderful place to visit. Would like to go back this fall but probably not on a weekend as the road in and out is definitely one car at a time and can't imagine going there at any time but the middle of the week. But it was defintely worth the scary ride up and back.

This was one of those "surprise" places you go to that you don't expect much but you leave thinking you've found a photographer's bonanza! I'll definitely go back to this spot.
I loved your gallery - so many good, diverse kinds of photography! The balloon photo caught my eye because I live in Colorado Springs and have been going to Colorado Classic Balloon Festival for many years but have never seen any other Balloon Festival. What can you tell me about the Albuquerque Festival (I realize I probably just "massacred" the spelling!) #8890748
