Thank you everyone for your very nice comments.

I find that the sunsets in January and February are very colorful! March and April sunsets are usually beautiful too. We don't have fog in the summer, but we do get a heavy marine layer that blocks the sunset. It is difficult to predict the weather in June and July.

There are webcams set up along the California coast, mostly for surfing. I live 10 miles inland from the beach, these cameras help me to see if it is overcast on the coast, when we have sunny weather inland.

I hope this helps Deb!!! It would be an honor to meet you!! Kathy Cline has planned a return visit in the middle of March. We went to the Carlsbad Flower Fields, the Wild Animal Park and the beach on her visit this year.
