Mount Moran
Uploaded: June 16, 2010
Grand Teton National Park WY taken from Oxbow Bend Turnout. From the north, Mt. Moran dominates the view. Mt. Moran is often mistaken for the Teton range for the first time. Unlike the other peaks which stand together in the middle of the range, Mt. Moran appears to stand alone, guarding the northern side of the Tetons. Mt. Moran is named for Thomas Moran, a famous frontier landscape artist, who was the friend and colleague of Dr. Ferdinand D. Hayden, the noteworthy surveyor of the west.

A beautiful view made more beautiful by those clouds and their reflection. Great work, Jack. #8698726Monnie Ryan June 16, 2010 0

Heard it rained, like it did here. I see you got some good "skies" however. That's great!
