Astronomers Gazing

Uploaded: July 10, 2005

Description

This is a five minute tracked image
at ISO 400, f4.5, 14mm. You can't
see the astronomers, just their stuff. They were moving around,
so their images are ghostly; which
is as it should be, as the true
subject of our awe should be the sky.

Thanks,Susan. If you've never seen
a sky like this, you should treat
yourself. It's a wonderful experience.

The only time I've ever seen a sky remotely close to this is when I spent time on Palomar Mountain when I lived in San Diego. I remember being really entranced by just looking at the stars! #1577617

Thanks everybody. It feels good
to produce an image that's beautiful.
There's no feeling quite like it.
