Description

This evening as an approaching thunderstorm grew near, the sky darkened, and I captured a mating pair of cardinals in their private ritual --mate feeding, which goes on during the full time the eggs are being incubated.

The cardinals mate for life and are devoted to each other.

It was a joyous occasion for them. But, also for me, as I've tried for two years to capture them sharply.
