Description

My mother passed away on November 20th, just two weeks from tomorrow, from a short battle with lung cancer. It happened so fast. I will always love her and always miss her. She is my rock. This is a photo of her holding my daughter, Alexa.

God bless you and your family...i can't imagine the pain your are feeling as my mom is my rock and I would be lost without her...you are strong though and you have gorgeous children and your mom will live on through you and them...

Oh Jessica!!! I do not know what to say... I am so terribly sad for you and your family, I simply cannot imagine... I do not think we are ever prepared to have our world rocked like that. My deepest sympathy to you and your family. I hope it is some comfort to know that I and many others will be praying for you and your family during this time. My Mom is also my best friend so I can only imagine your pain. I will be praying for strength for you to get through the days ahead. I lost my Dad when my youngest son was six months old. Losing a parent was the most difficult event of my life. Some of my most treasured photographs are ones of him holding him as a newborn. He was weakened with cancer but he was smiling.:) Since I have taken up photography, I've "seen" my Dad in photographs of my own children...a smile or expression that looks like their Grandpa! It comforts my heart. I pray your heart would be comforted today.

Oh Jessica, I am sooo sorry about the loss of your mother. Your image is very heart felt. Reminds me of my father who also died from lung cancer at the age of 56. It completely shattered my life. Their is a void that will never be replaced. I miss him everyday. I only wish that I had an image like this with my dad and girls. A beautiful memory...so well captured!
I can't even imagine what you are feeling. Just tonight I was feeling upset and the first place I wanted to go was to my beloved Papaw's grave (as he always made me feel so special). It's so hard to be separated from loved ones...but at least even death cannot erase the wonderful memories! And, somehow after the grief has passed...that does seem to fill some of the void. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time... #3667419

I wish my Mum was still around for me to take photographs of, but sadly, she died of Cancer in 1988, before I even had the chance to learn much about photography.
I know what you went through at this time, and are still going through.
