It's interesting to observe others ply their trade, especially when they know what they're doing. This NYC traffic director strikes a commanding figure. The vehicles respond to her whistle toots and gestures as pedestrians watch and wait for her signal that it's their turn to GO.

I have a question though. Why does NYC employ human beings to direct traffic instead of using traffic signals, with walk and don't walk signs. #8311516
